Giffords en route to Florida for husband's shuttle launch

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Nearly 16 weeks after being shot in the head, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords climbed a set of stairs and stepped onto a NASA jet, leaving Houston and her rehab facility there for the first time in three months.
